Digestive symptoms are one of the most common concerns I see in practice. On top of how uncomfortable digestive symptoms can be, suboptimal gut function can affect your skin, mood, energy, weight and immune function. Getting to the root of you digestive symptoms and treating the cause can make profound changes on your overall health.

There are many well researched, effective, natural treatment options that improve your mental health whether you are currently medicated or not. When addressing your mental health concerns we thoroughly investigate any possible underlying issues. We look at nutritional deficiencies, medication side effects, hormone imbalances, environmental toxins, thyroid disorders and more as possible contributing factors. If you're tried of feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, or irritable and looking for natural approaches that can help, let's work together to get you feeling better.

Whether you're thinking of growing your family, or have been trying to conceive unsuccessfully, naturopathic medicine can help optimize your health, and increase your chances of a healthy pregnancy and thus healthy baby. Poor egg quality is a common barrier in unexplained infertility and is a huge factor in age-related infertility, recurrent miscarriage and failed IVF cycles. Whether you are trying to conceive naturally or through assisted reproductive technologies, the quality of your eggs, and overall health status will have a huge impact on your ability to get pregnant and remain pregnant. For greatest impact, preconception care should begin at least 3 months before trying to conceive.

Women’s health can be quite complex. Your hormones, genetics and environmental factors are all interconnected and play a role in how your body functions. Your "period" is so much more than just something that happens once a month. Along with any other symptoms you experience, your period gives us a lot of information about your health on a deeper level. Despite common misconceptions,  PMS and cramps are not normal, we can treat your PCOS and endometriosis, vaginal concerns are not something to be embarrassed about and menopause should be tolerable. If you want to get to the root cause of what's going on, I'm here for support.

Hormones are chemical messengers that play a role in our metabolism, reproduction, energy levels, sexual function, mood and so much more. Hormone imbalances, deficiencies and excesses can all impact how you look and feel (see symptoms above). Together we can investigate any imbalances you may have, and discuss treatment options that address the root cause of your symptoms.

There is tons of confusing information out there on the dos and donts of pregnancy that can be difficult to navigate. I provide professional recommendations on best quality prenatal vitamins, nutrition advice on what foods you should be eating and avoiding, and other things you can be doing to optimize the health of you and baby. Did you know, while pregnant there are things you can do to decrease your baby's chances of developing asthma, allergies and eczema? I also offer pre-birth acupuncture. Research has shown that acupuncture beginning at 36 weeks reduces the need for medical intervention by 43% and can be supportive in turning a breech baby.

Struggling with your weight can be a never ending battle if not addressed correctly. Fad diets, weight loss pills, and spending hours in the gym don't work for long term weight loss. If they did, the weight loss industry would not be worth over 20 billion dollars, and you would not have tried multiple programs without success. Weight loss is so much more than the calories in, and calories out logic. If you're ready to lose weight the right way, by address any factors that may be contributing to the problem, let's get started.

If you're tired of being tired whether you're having issues sleeping or not there are so many things we can do to help. We need to address and treat any underlying reasons contributing to your low energy including nutritional deficiencies, chronic stress, insomnia, etc.

We all have two tiny glands, called adrenal glands, that sit directly above our kidneys. These glands are responsible for producing our stress hormone "cortisol". In the hustle and bustle of today's society our tiny little glands are commonly overworked contributing to many of our symptoms including fatigue, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, low moods, irritability, weight gain, among others. Giving our adrenal glands a little extra support which helps manage our stress response can make a world of a difference in how your feel.

Stubborn skin concerns can be so irritating to deal with. What is commonly lacking in the treatment of skin care is working from the inside out. Your skin is your largest organ, it plays a critical role in detoxification and an outward reflection of what's going on inside your body. Stress, digestion, food sensitivities, hormones, nutritional deficiences and more are possible factors contributing to your skin concerns. Together we will get to the root of the problem, and address your skin issues on a deeper level.

Intravenous therapy and vitamin injections are a great way to get nutrients into the body at doses difficult to achieve through oral supplementation. This allows for quicker results! IV's and vitamin injections can be incredibly helpful for a whole host of concerns, from fatigue, digestive issues, autoimmune conditions, anxiety, depression, menopause, migraines, allergies and more.

Lab testing can be useful for screening, diagnosis and informing our treatments. Many of my patient's have had testing done and told everything is "normal" despite their concerns. My aim is to sit down with my patient's and thoroughly explain the results of any testing they've had done, discuss the difference between "normal" and optimal results, and run additional comprehensive testing when indicated because we will get to the root of your concerns.

I know these exams aren't the most comfortable but they are important. My goal is to create an environment where you feel empowered, and educated during the exam rather than embarrassed. I offer well woman visits for both patients and non-patients. The appointment includes a thorough breast exam including education around self breast exams, a gynecological exam including a pap smear which is used for cervical screening, and a vaginal swab which looks for infections.

I approach chronic health concerns from a holistic lens and address all possible contributing factors. I work with my patient's to come up with a plan that will optimize their health without interacting with any current medications. Your diagnosis doesn't have to stand in the way of you living your best life.
